About us
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to join the ReSET project; building resilience through socio-emotional training. Our team lies in the Developmental Risk and Resilience Unit (DRRU), within UCL's Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology Department (CEHP). CEHP is an interdisciplinary research division that brings together researchers in areas such as neuroscience, health, education, behaviour and development.
This role is ideal for early-career researchers seeking experience working with adolescent participants in an academic setting, while actively contributing to project dissemination.
About the role
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) fixed-term post for seven months. The post-holder will primarily:
- Support the collection of follow-up outcome measures and whole-year group data from adolescent participants across secondary schools in London and Kent.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including preparing assessment materials, data entry, data cleaning, and data auditing.
- Play an active role in developing and disseminating educational materials related to the ReSET project and adolescent mental health via social media channels and the ReSET website.
About you
The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills to establish good relationships with young people, families and professionals and communicate well with the wider project team.
We are looking for an individual with an undergraduate degree in psychology or neuroscience at 2:1 or above and one of the following criteria:
- A masters level qualification in a relevant subject area
- currently enrolled in a relevant masters level programme
- 1+ years of research assistant experience working with children and young people.
The individual should have good organisational skills and be able to take initiative to manage a busy schedule. The ideal candidate would have experience of working with young people in an educational setting. Experience of scientific communication with varying audiences and the development of social media content would be advantageous.
Candidate must be able to start by the 1st June 2025 and Interviews will take place on the 7th April 2025.
