UCL Accommodation manages over 8,000 bed spaces across 26 halls, comprising UCL owned halls and nominations agreements with partner private providers. In addition, UCL receives a quota of student rooms from within the University of London's Intercollegiate Halls.
About the role
We are hiring a Accommodation Systems Coordinator for our sprawling campus in central London (hybrid working). The successful candidate will complete the following duties...
- Maintain the setup, optimization, and efficient use of StarRez, UCL's housing management software by utilizing features and functionalities to streamline and enhance operational efficiency, accommodation processes, and ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with StarRez users, UCL's ISD (IT) team, and the software vendor to develop, support, and enhance the system to improve business processes through continuous development and troubleshooting.
- Ensure seamless integration of StarRez with other UCL software systems. Identify and resolve technical issues, review system configuration. Assist with system updates and upgrades to ensure the system remains efficient and up to date.
- Document all system processes comprehensively to support future developments and troubleshooting.

About you
Essential requirements of the role are as follows...
- Educated to Bachelor's degree standard or equivalent
- Experience in education or student services administration including working within accommodation or a similar University setting.
- Experience of, or strong ability to learn, how to use accommodation management software such as StarRez
- Experience in data management, including data entry, validation, analysis, reporting, and ensuring data integrity across multiple systems
- Experience with SQL or StarQL
- Computer-literate, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and booking system
- Strong ability to deliver new initiatives and engage others to achieve shared goals
- Proactive and inventive in improving processes and enhancing resource efficiency
- Excellent written, verbal and numeric communication skills with a good command of English language and the ability to keep accurate records
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and independently
- A proactive and innovative approach to problem solving, with an ability to adapt to changing requirements and escalate issues where needed
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and mange conflicting priorities

- Willing to try new ideas which may improve outcomes
