Job Responsibility:

We are looking to recruit a new team member to join our CNC department. This is an ideal role for an apprentice or person with basic machining knowledge to lean and develop new and existing skills. Our company specialises in both designing and manufacturing high performance parts for diesel engines.

This role will require the candidate to support the running of an XYZ 1100HD machine with Siemens controls along with carry out general workshop tasks including moving material and swarf removal/cleaning. This position will report directly to the head of the CNC department. Other general workshop tasks may be required also including providing support in cleaning and washing injection pump cores or engine components.

Whilst experience with machining and being in a workshop is preferential is it not a requirement of the role. All training will be provided we only ask that the individual is proactive and willing to learn.

Key Responibilites

• Working as a team to meet deadline
• Loading and running a XYZ 1100HD CNC machine
• Ensuring area is tidy and clean at all times
• Removal of swarf from the machines and surrounding areas

Background Required

• Basic knowledge and understanding of engineering.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a team
• Willingness to learn
• Engineering experience would also be preferable

Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
