Care pro south east children services are two Supported Accommodation services for young people age 16-18. We are based in Bexhill-On-Sea with commuting distance from Hastings and Eastbourne in East Sussex.

We are looking for dedicated staff to achieve a positive outcomes for our children.

This role is offered on a full time or part time basis and shifts are dependant.

This role would suit an experienced youth worker, or someone looking to start their career in the Health and Social Care sector.

Following a thorough induction and training programme, your duties as Practitioner Worker will include:

Supporting children aged 16-18 in full-time supported accommodation

To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person

Setting boundaries for children and young people that may display challenging or emotional behaviour, whilst developing a relationship built on mutual trust

Delivering one to one interventions and key work sessions dependent upon need

Practitioners play a key role in contributing to the physical, social and emotional well-being, in order to provide a safe and nurturing atmosphere

To use behaviour management strategies effectively and in line with the home's policy and procedures, which contribute to a purposeful environment

Undertaking a range of domestic duties

Communicating with the wider care team to promote consistency throughout the home.

Manage any safeguarding and risk management responses as per the placement plan and Care Pro South East policies.

Key Skills Required:

Evidence of successfully working with young people

Willing to work towards a Level 4 Qualification in Children's Residential care

Awareness of safeguarding young people

High degree of resilience

Good communication skills

Ideally, hold a full UK Driving Licence, but this is not essential.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
