About the role

Imperial College London's School of Medicine is one of the world's top medical schools at one of the world's most-respected universities. At the forefront of medical education, your work here will help create the next generation of doctors and scientists—benefiting patients and populations globally.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as Programme Administrator (Assessment) to support all years of our BSc Medical Biosciences (BMB) programme.

What you would be doing

As a Programme Administrator (Assessments), you will primarily provide administrative support to the Programme Manager and the two Programme Officers responsible for delivering BMB assessments. You will support the operational team delivering these assessments, recruiting casual exam staff, producing assessment materials, assisting with the production and maintenance of assessment spreadsheets (e.g. for results and marking), and any other tasks deemed reasonable in order to support the effective delivery of assessments.

This is an exciting, varied role which provides an opportunity to work with colleagues from across the institution.

What we are looking for

You should be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent; experience in a similar role within Higher Education would be desirable. It is also essential that you have experience of providing a responsive, customer-focused service to staff and students via a central email inbox, and of supporting assessments.

To excel in this role, you will have strong organisational skills, the ability to set and work to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities. You will also need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a larger team.

What we can offer you

  • The opportunity to continue your career at a world-leading institution and be part of our mission to use science for humanity.
  • Benefit from a sector-leading salary and remuneration package (including 39 days' annual leave and generous pension schemes).
  • Access to a range of workplace benefits including a flexible working policy from day one, generous family leave packages, on-site leisure facilities and cycle-to-work scheme.
  • Interest-free season ticket loan schemes for travel.
  • Be part of a diverse, inclusive and collaborative work culture with various staff networks and resources to support your personal and professional wellbeing.
