Job Description :

OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated gymnastics Teacher to join our educational team. The job will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 3:30-4:30pm at St Vincent Infant school.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Educate students on a variety of subjects while incorporating critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through regular tests, assignments, and feedback.
• Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and collaboration.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student learning and development.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with educational practices.
• Incorporate sports coaching techniques into lessons where applicable, promoting teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness.

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum relevant to the age group being taught.
• Experience in sports coaching is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students while maintaining high standards of education.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in lesson planning and assessment.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 2 per week
