The Lancaster Hospital is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Quality and Risk Coordinator to join their team of staff in the Quality Assurance department.

This is a Part time role for 22.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

  • Support the local management and coordination of incident reporting, ensuring timely documentation, review, and closure of incidents in line with policy.
  • Assist in the investigation of adverse events, near misses, and complaints, contributing to root cause analysis and action planning.
  • Coordinate internal audits, inspections, and quality monitoring activities across departments, ensuring action plans are implemented and reviewed.
  • Assist with compliance tracking against CQC, HIS, HIW, or equivalent standards, including preparation for inspections and reviews.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for governance meetings, including the collation of papers, minute-taking, and follow-up of actions.
  • Maintain relevant databases, electronic systems, and records related to quality and risk activities.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience working in a quality, risk, governance, or clinical support role in a healthcare or regulatory environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, including minute-taking and report coordination.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and governance systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
