Job Description :

We’re looking for a senior, or very proficient mid level, full stack team member to work with our CTO. You probably graduated with a BSc or MSc in Computer Science over 4 years ago, you write and design great production code, and you our now looking for a way to grow and to work for a team where you can make a real difference.

Is this you? If so, join a team that does not expect you to know it all, simply to always try your best – and has your back.

Cloudshelf mission

At CloudShelf, we’re redefining the future of retail by bridging the gap between e-commerce and physical stores. Our technology transforms any retailer’s online catalog into an immersive, in-store digital experience—seamlessly blending the convenience of online shopping with the tactile, personal engagement of brick-and-mortar retail.

We believe in the power of local high streets and independent retailers. By equipping them with cutting-edge, cloud-driven and edge-computing solutions, we empower them to compete at the highest level—delivering frictionless discovery, deep product insights, and seamless omnichannel transactions.

What makes this role exciting

As a senior full-stack engineer, you won’t just be building software—you’ll be working directly with our CTO and CEO (as product owner) to shape the future of Cloudshelf’s platform. You’ll have the autonomy to make architectural decisions, optimize performance across distributed systems, and ensure shoppers and sales teams have instant access to the right products at the right moment.

This is a pivotal role, laying the foundation for future team members and scaling the technology that will power a new era of retail. If you’re excited by solving complex, high-impact problems—where elegant engineering meets tangible business transformation—Cloudshelf is where you’ll make your mark.

What you do really well

  • Typescript & React in production-grade code
  • NodeJS with Express
  • PostgreSQL
  • Designing out complexity.

What will make you thrive at Cloudshelf

  • Interested in what we do: high streets and their impact on communities, retail and eCommerce.
  • Obsessed with creating the very best, simplest solution
  • Good communicator also with product and other non-technical teams
  • Genuine team player, you derive energy from working in a team
  • Self-starting, entrepreneurial, adaptable
  • Happy to operate in a remote work environment

What we will bring you An adventure with potential. We can make up in vision, strategy, knowhow and passion what we can’t yet provide in comfort and security. We’re still too young to claim we have well formulated values and culture (you will help shape them), but we already agree that we have some rallying cries around :

  • Simplify focus our solution on what matters, remove the rest so that we can genuinely make the best bits outstanding.
  • Care about others. Only hand them work of the very best quality; care about our impact, look out for those around us.
  • Dare go beyond your comfort zone, even if it means risking mistakes. Reach for the outstanding.
  • Learn always. Make mistakes, but not twice. Find ways of doing things better, or faster, or less painfully, or making them better. Get pleasure from feeling you are growing.
  • Wow. amaze customers, friends, colleagues by the quality of our work and the results it provides.

We are fully remote for now. We have no plans to become an office based team, but we will be re-investing what we save in office space in creating ‘pods’ for exchanging, in training and in social events.

Our benefits
