We’re looking for a Trade Counter Assistant to join our busy office team, where you’ll be a key part of our customer experience and day-to-day operations.

About the Role

As a Trade Counter Assistant, you’ll be the face of our sales counter, helping trade customers with a range of needs. This varied role will include:

• Customer Interaction: Assisting trade customers at our sales counter and phone offering basic quotations, and processing payments.
• Order Processing: Raising work orders, preparing dispatch paperwork, and coordinating orders.
• Relationship Building: Developing strong connections with our customers to enhance sales and deliver excellent service.
• Supporting Operations: You may occasionally assist with light warehouse tasks, help customers load their orders, and receive forklift training.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Customer Service Skills: A friendly, professional manner and excellent communication skills.
• Sales Savvy: A strong ability to build rapport and drive sales performance.
• Team Spirit: You’ll work well independently and as part of our team.
• Tech Proficiency: Experience with MS Office applications, including Excel.
• Communication skills: Written and spoken English

Bonus Skills

While not required, these would be an advantage:

• Experience in the timber or joinery industry.
• Prior sales experience in a similar role.

Position Details

• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
