Job Summary

Twist & Flip Gymnastics is excited to grow its Preston-based coaching team! We’re looking for passionate and enthusiastic self-employed individuals with a background in gymnastics to help inspire and develop the next generation of young athletes. This part-time role is ideal for students or professionals seeking flexible hours and the chance to work in a rewarding, energetic environment.

Duties

• Deliver engaging, safe, and age-appropriate gymnastics sessions.
• Coach a variety of skill levels across recreational classes, breakfast clubs, after-school clubs, and PE lessons.
• Teach fundamental gymnastics techniques and support gymnasts in their skill progression.
• Supervise training sessions, ensuring all equipment is used safely and appropriately.
• Provide positive and constructive feedback to gymnasts to encourage improvement and confidence.
• Track and support the development of each gymnast, adjusting coaching strategies where needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents or schools about progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with fellow coaches and contribute to a supportive, team-focused culture.
• Commit to ongoing learning and attend relevant training or CPD as required.

• Coaching experience within gymnastics or parkour, ready to take on more responsibility
• Confidence leading teams
• Self-motivated and able to motivate others
• Enjoy working with and developing children
• Comfortable communicating with parents and members
• Excellent customer service skills
• Eager to learn and grow within the role
• Available to work evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Background in recreational or competitive gymnastics
• Level 1 British Gymnastics coaching qualification (Level 2 preferred)
• Experience working with children in a coaching or teaching capacity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive, reliable, and enthusiastic attitude
• Safeguarding and First Aid certificates (or willingness to obtain)
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
• Competitive hourly rate, negotiable based on qualifications and experience

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 10 per week
