Salary: £31,650 - £49,606

Job Description

You'll have the drive and ambition to share your love of History with our students, delivering lessons across a range of ability in line with relevant curriculum requirements whilst ensuring high standards of teaching and learning are maintained. You'll also be responsible for collaborating with the wider Humanities faculty to sustain and raise class achievement.

The successful candidate will be required to teach History at KS3 and KS4 and make a positive difference to academy life. A willingness to support the Academy ethos and support of extra-curricular activities within the Academy is essential.

You must be able to use a range of teaching strategies to inspire and motivate our students and demonstrate a commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department.

Job requirements

Qualified Teacher StatusRelevant specialist qualifications and subject experience (e.g BA Hons degree in History)Full understanding of curriculum requirements for HistoryEvidence of commitment to continuing professional developmentUnderstanding of how to implement assessment methods for differentiated learning strategies

The successful applicant will:

• Hold UK QTS or QLTS or hold relevant teaching experience and qualifications
• Have recent secondary teaching experience in the UK.
• Be a Religious Education / History / Humanities specialist.
• Be friendly and open to new challenges.
• Have the right to work in the UK
