Job Responsibility:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Reporting to Hey Girls CEO and Creative Designer/Special Projects Co-ordinator this key role at Hey Girls supports marketing and communications across our award-winning social enterprise Hey Girls as well as development of our newest brand W/O pads.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Be accountable for the marketing and communications of both Hey Girls and W/O Pads
o Deliver brand-aligned communications that reflect our social mission and tone of voice
o Highlight our social impact and sustainability credentials across all channels
o Manage all customer-facing communications across multiple platforms and tools
o Involve relevant team members with specialist skills where needed
o Report to Creative Designer/Special Projects Co-ordinator on communications planning and progress
o Attend weekly or fortnightly 1:1s to report on progress, priorities and feedback
Email marketing (via NetSuite):
o Plan and schedule email campaigns for different sectors
o Write engaging B2B focused copy
o Source or create supporting visuals
o You will be supported on contact management by in house team
Social Media via multiple platforms with a B2B focus: (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
o Plan and schedule B2B social media content
o Write engaging B2B focused copy for posts and ads
o Source or create supporting visuals
o Respond and monitor mentions, comments and messages professionally
o Support manager with boosted posts as needed
Basic Creative Tasks:
o Source or create visuals for email, web and social
o Basic photography and graphic skills is advantageous (Adobe Creative Suite experience helpful)
Additional support as required:
o Assist with campaign materials and special project requests as needed
o Write and upload blog content, pop up ads, and website copy
o Draft and distribute press releases (with management support)
KEY SKILLS:
o A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in communications, journalism, or a related field, and/or a minimum of 2-5 years relevant experience in a communications role.
o Strong writing and editing skills with a corporate but engaging tone
o Adaptive communication across multiple platform types: blogs, socials, newsletters
o Understanding of platform trends and how to tailor content accordingly
o Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
o Strong attention to detail and time management
o Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
o Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a small, cross-functional team
o Comfortable taking feedback and contributing ideas
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE: (not essential but advantageous)
o Content scheduling tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite)
o NetSuite email marketing
o WordPress, SEO, Google Analytics
o Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Canva
o Product photography skills

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
o This is a corporate, B2B-focused role. B2C and influencer marketing are not priorities.
o The role is primarily digital but may include elements of traditional marketing and communications.
