Commis Chef - Bull & Heifer

An exciting opportunity to join the passionate team at a thriving rural restaurant and bar in the heart of Mid-Wales. If you are an apprentice, college leaver or currently working as a kitchen assistant, this could be your opportunity to test your ability and take the next step in your career. Working in a growing business, you will be able to progress and get involved with other catering departments in the business.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues and assist in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen
• Ensure the smooth running of your section
• Prepare dishes from scratch
• Ensure all stock is rotated to ensure minimum wastage
• Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
• Produce food of consistently high quality, taste and presentation to the executive chefs guidelines
• Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
• Adhere to health and safety and food handling guidelines.
• To maintain exemplary cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Complete all necessary paperwork relating to the kitchen food safety plan.

Salary: £25,000 to £27,000 per annum

40 - 45 Hours Per Week4 or 5 days Per week Based on requirements of the business
