Job Responsibility:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team of social workers and paralegals; dedicated in dealing with Data Protection requests and Freedom of Information Requests.

As a member of the Disclosure Team, you will process complex Subject Access Requests, in line with the Data Protection Act and other key legislation.

You will also deal with requests from the police and other local authorities for the disclosure of social care records. On some of these requests, you may also be required to act as the lead officer.

As the first point of contact, you will provide advice on our procedural and legal obligations as well as on data protection issues.

Coupled with your LLB Law Degree or equivalent qualification; you must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the relevant law area; or the ability to utilise transferable skills if your experience is in a different area of law.

Experience of processing Subject Access Requests from the public is essential, while experience of processing Freedom of Information requests would be beneficial.
