About the Role:
Classroom Recruiters is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Lead Tutor to join our team in Mansfield. This pivotal role involves managing the alternative provision team and overseeing the daily operations of the site, including curriculum delivery, health and safety, and safeguarding young people. In addition, you will drive forward the provision, enhancing the educational offerings for our current and future learners. You will play a hands-on role, supporting Construction Tutors and students, helping them acquire the skills necessary to succeed in a construction-based field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Line Management: Act as the line manager for the alternative provision team staff.
- Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring smooth delivery of the curriculum, adherence to health and safety standards, and effective safeguarding of young people.
- Student Support: Provide hands-on support to Construction Tutors and students, helping them develop the skills required to pass their BTEC in a construction-based field.
- Program Development: Drive forward the educational provision, increasing the scope and quality of offerings to benefit our learners.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are looking for an innovative and adaptable individual with experience working with students in a challenging environment. The successful candidate will:
- Qualifications: Hold a Level 4 or 5 professional qualification in education, health, or social care. Additional CPD qualifications are advantageous.
- Experience: Have experience working with children and young adults, ideally within an educational setting focused on construction.
- Team Player: Exhibit strong supervisory skills and the ability to work effectively within a team of construction tutors.
- Innovative Thinker: Bring creative ideas and approaches to engage and inspire students.
- Role Model: Be a nurturing, positive role model for the students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
