Company Description
IAG Connect was set up to provide in-flight connectivity (IFC) and in-flight entertainment (IFE) services to IAG airlines. The IAG Connect team provide a range of functions to IAG airlines including the maintenance and development of the IFC connectivity platform and the IFE seatback software. The IFC connectivity platform and IFE seatback software are custom-built software applications which are live on around 400 aircraft across British Airways, Iberia, Vueling and LEVEL. IAG Connect also provides back-office administration for all the connectivity services including customer care, refunds, financial management, tax and audit requirements.
Job Description
The Programme Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the IAG Connect IFC and IFE products and projects. This role involves managing multiple delivery partners, for the core IFC software, IFE software and Internet Service Provider (ISP) services . The Programme Manager will work with the IAG Connect Product team to establish governance structures and cross-airline customer forums to drive and prioritise requirements from different airlines within the group.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Shapes, scopes, plans and delivers a portfolio of projects and programmes.
- Oversee the delivery partners and suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery of software and services.
- Establish and maintain governance structures for the programme.
- Support the Product Manager to implement a cross-airline customer forum for the gathering and prioritisation of requirements.
- Ensure alignment of IFC and IFE systems with airline group strategies and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Head of IAG Connect, to align programme objectives with business goals.
- Responsible for driving and overseeing the overall implementation plans to ensure delivery is on time, within scope and within budget.
- Monitor programme progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies, as necessary.
- Manage programme budget and resources, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide regular programme reporting and updates to senior management and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in programme management, preferably in the aviation or technology sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with in-flight connectivity and entertainment systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to establish and maintain governance structures and forums.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive programme objectives that align with business goals.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration).
- Project management certifications (e.g., MSP, PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
