Job Responsibility:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead our nursery setting in Midlothian. Must be qualified with a BA in Childhood Practice or equivalent or SCQF Level 9.
The ideal candidate will require resilience and be adaptable to change with a proven track record of good practice. A can-do and proactive attitude is essential!
Managing the day-to-day operations of the nursery, the successful candidate will ensure that the nursery is compliant with Care Inspectorare guidelines, Health and Safety Standards and current legislation.
*Overseeing and coordinating stimulating and inspiring activities for the children across the nursery.
*Communicating with families on the progress and outcomes of the children and motivating staff and monitoring their development throughout the nursery.
*Empowering the team to deliver rich learning opportunities for all children is critical.
*Strong experience of working with local authority personnel and ensuring that the staff team are meeting expectations is essential.
*Ensuring occupancy targets are hit and maintained at all times and working towards improving the setting on a daily basis.
*Supporting and actively promoting the safety, security and well-being of all children, colleagues, and visitors.
*Supporting the leadership and management of the nursery teams so they can develop and thrive.
