Job Responsibility:

Tetra Tech has an opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Cost Consultancy team in Milton Keynes / Oxfordshire area. The role will assist in all cost and procurement management processes.

You will gain experience in a diverse variety of sectors including cutting edge science and technology, higher education and public sector. The team have delivered projects for prestigious clients such as Defence Infrastructure Organisation, The University of Oxford, and Oxford Colleges.

There is opportunity for occasional foreign travel to assist with the delivery of projects for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. We are delivering a wide range of projects from small refurbishments to new builds, with projects in four different continents!

The Role:

• Preparing tender and contract documents

• Analysing tender returns and producing Tender Reports

• Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work

• Assisting in the management and delivery of construction projects

• Working closely with Architects, Structural Engineers and Project Managers

• Assisting with a range of pre and post contract surveying duties, including producing Cost Plans and Cost Reports, undertaking valuations and valuing change

About You:

• Degree in relevant subject (Quantity Surveying) (BSc)

• MS Office skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Self-Motivated

• Full, clean UK driving license and ideally access to a vehicle

• Ability to obtain security clearance
