Job Overview
The Junior Accounts and Office Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our continued growth, taking on finance tasks and light administration tasks away from the advisers to enable them to spend more time with clients. This position could be entry-level, ideal for someone looking to start their career in financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Duties:
- Daily reconciliation of the company bank account using Xero accounting software.
- Raising, issuing and managing client invoices, including chasing payments if needed and confirming receipt of funds.
- Managing adviser expense claims.
- Processing and settling provider invoices.
- Run monthly management accounts.
- Reconcile fees within our bank office system, Intelliflo.
- Help with the payroll process, ensuring all data is accurately recorded.
Administrative Duties:
- Handle incoming calls and emails, directing them to the appropriate team members.
- Opening and scanning incoming post.
- Preparing and sending outgoing post.
- Liaise with the office provider to book meeting rooms
- Setting up online meetings for clients and advisers.
- Maintain office supplies and place orders when necessary.
- Assist in organizing company events and functions.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not essential.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Familiarity with Xero accounting software is preferred but not essential.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.

Pay: £21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
