Within this role you will supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of our on-campus salon's this includes Hair, Barbering, Beauty and Media Makeup, providing high-quality teaching in barbering and hairdressing for part of the week. You will be mentoring and supporting students, fostering a positive and professional learning environment while ensuring the salon meets all health and safety standards as the hair and beauty health and safety co-ordinator.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate the following: At least three years' practical experience of the subject area within a hairdressing and barbering environment.

  • At least three years' practical experience of the subject area within a hairdressing and barbering environment
  • Good knowledge of IT and social media promotion.
  • Strong understanding of the running of a hair and beauty salon.
  • Qualified in Hairdressing with a relevant vocational qualification.
  • Qualified in Barbering with a relevant vocational qualification.
  • Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent with English and maths C or above (or willingness to work towards).
  • Proven ability to create and maintain appropriate work systems.
  • Passionate about teaching and learning.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team.
  • A flexible and Innovative approach.
  • Well organised, systematic approach to work.
  • Able to use your initiative.
  • Flexible approach to workload.

Salary: £24,945

Full time, 37 hours per week, all year round.
