About the Role
Our client is looking for a Senior Healthcare Assistant for a permanent position . You will play a vital role in improving the lives of those you care for. Responsibilities include:
- Lead and Supervise: Manage and support a team of care assistants, ensuring they provide excellent care.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Health Monitoring: Monitor residents' health, including vital signs like heart rate and blood pressure.
- Communication: Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders regarding residents' progress and needs.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and maintain accurate records.
- Personal Care: Assist residents with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, and toileting.
- Meal Assistance: Serve meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Activities: Organize and facilitate activities to engage and stimulate residents.
- Training: Train and mentor new staff members.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions
About You
You need to have experience as a Senior Healthcare Assistant, the following qualities are essential:
- Experience: Previous experience in a care role, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
- Education: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Compassionate and patient demeanour.
- Medication administration and helping with medication rounds
- Helping the Nurse running a shift
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to follow health and safety processes
- A passion for caring for others and making a difference.
