You'll earn whilst you learn and get your qualifications at no cost to you, gaining great skills and experience along the way. All we need from you is a desire to learn and a passion for engineering.

For the last 7 years Morrisons has continued to recruit and invest in our Engineering Apprenticeship Scheme and to date we have recruited a total of 107 candidates who are either on their journey to becoming a Multi Skilled Engineer or have successfully completed their course and are working in one of our Manufacturing sites. We have exciting opportunity at our Fruit Manufacturing Site in Thrapston, Northamptonshire.

Our site in Thrapston has gone through a period of rapid growth over the last 12 months and we're now grading and packing more fruit and nuts than ever! A huge part of our success over this period is down to our dedicated Engineering Department. As an Engineering Apprentice, you'll work hands on and side by side with our seasoned engineers, mastering the art of maintaining, repairing and improving our machinery. It's a great opportunity to gain practical skills and knowledge in engineering while working with a supportive team. Your daily tasks will include:

• Troubleshooting and repairing equipment
• Learning about electrical and mechanical system
• Assisting in equipment installation and upgrades
• Participating in continuous improvements
• Conducting preventative maintenance tasks

By the end of your apprenticeship you will:

? Be trained in both mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance

? Completed Level 3 in Food and Drink Engineering Maintenance

? Have strong knowledge of food safety, compliance and processing

This is a 3 year apprenticeship scheme and will include residential block release (up to 20 weeks away from home) for studies and exams. Our apprentice scheme offers a very competitive salary and benefits packages. About You

In order to be considered for our engineering apprenticeship you must:

• Be aged 18 or over
• Achieved a Level 5 (Grade B) in Maths
• Achieved a Level 5 (Grade B) in English
• Achieved a Level 4 (Grade C) in Science

You'll have a passion for engineering and a strong desire to learn; problem solving skills and a can-do attitude will get you far in our sites with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
