Job Responsibility:
What you'll do
To manage the analysis, control environment, hedging and reporting of the Group's treasury activities. To oversee the preparation of management & statutory reporting for certain UK holding companies and to work with the Group's treasury, legal and tax teams to act as advisor on the accounting and hedging of complex structured finance transactions.
- Manage and advise on accounting and hedging of the Group's financial instruments under IFRS and UK GAAP which include: foreign exchange forwards, swaps & options, interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps, floating rate notes, bonds, loans and various investments
- Production of the statutory accounts/analysis, audit and tax computations for certain UK companies
- Design, implement and maintain effective hedge accounting in accordance with IFRS 9 and other relevant accounting standards.
- Perform regular fair value measurements of the Group's extensive derivative portfolio
- Management of the department's controls including SOX with significant interaction with the internal and external auditors
Who you are
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA (5+ years post qualified experience)
- AMCT or MCT
- Previous treasury finance experience gained in a multinational environment with a strong focus on hedge accounting
- Significant knowledge and experience of IFRS and UK GAAP
- In-depth knowledge and experience of financial instruments standards: IAS7, IAS21, IAS32, IAS39, IFRS7, IFRS9 & IFRS13 and/or UK GAAP equivalents
