Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust provides child and adult mental health services, learning disability, wellbeing, older people's and eating disorder services across Norfolk and Suffolk. At any one time, around 23,000 people in Norfolk and Suffolk are receiving care and attention from the Trust. Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Support Accountant to join the finance team on a full time basis supporting designated NSFT clinical and/or corporate services. The role reports directly to a Management Accountant and supports the production of accurate and timely financial information.

The successful candidates will be working towards AAT qualification. Excellent inter-personal and communication skills are essential with the ability to communicate complex financial issues effectively with both non-finance and finance staff.

The role will support a mixture of services to be determined on appointment. Initially the role will predominantly be home based with some travel expected in due course.

NSFT supports flexible working and we will consider part time and flexible working requests in the fulfilment of this role

Main duties of the job

To assist the Management Accountants (band 6) in the production of budget statements, financial advice, and the day to day running of the management accounts service for the specified clinical services.

To ensure financial information is processed accurately and in a timely manner, and in accordance with procedures and Standing Financial Instructions.

To provide a customer focused service to the Trust and its clients.
