Job Responsibility:

Arthur Branwell & Co Ltd is a family run business since 1904 producing ingredients for the food industry worldwide. We are looking for a Facilities Operative to join our team at our busy site in Braintree.

In this role, you will provide flexible support to various functions of the business. You will work efficiently, with a sense of urgency, whilst also maintaining our high standards.

Key tasks:

• Assist the Warehouse function - goods in/out, picking orders, stock control/movement.
• Operating forklift.
• Driving company 3.5t truck between the factory and warehouse (approx. 10-15 miles in total each week).
• Assist with operation of industry specialist production machinery.
• General building and site maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with basic machinery and equipment maintenance.
• Maintaining accurate records.
• Complying with all company Health and Safety and hygiene controls.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

• Practical experience in industrial maintenance and repairs, with site and machinery.
• Warehouse work experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Counterbalance & Flexi/Bendi forklift licence.
• Good teamwork and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, with initiative and focus.
• Enthusiasm to work flexibly within several functions of the business.
• This role involves physical exertion, including lifting 25kg boxes.

Additional information:

• Location - Braintree.
• Working hours - 43 per week (7:15am-5:15pm Mon-Thurs, 7:15am-3:15pm Fri).
• Salary - The first 39 hours per week are paid at £15.00 per hour and the remaining 4 hours per week are paid at £22.50 per hour.
• 25 days holiday, plus statutory public holidays.
