Position: Yard Sales Assistant & Machinist

Location: Harlow Bros, Burton, DE14 1PT

Salary: Competitive Salary

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours of Work: 7.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 12pm alternate Saturdays

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Yard Sales Assistant & Machinist to join our team in Harlow Bros, Burton, DE14 1PT.

The Yard Sales Assistant & Machinist's exists to serve our customers with timber products from our yard and warehouses, and to become skilled in wood machining working on our range of commercial woodworking machines, taking on specialist machining tasks, ensuring a high level of product finish is always achieved.

What you'll be doing as Yard Sales Assistant & Machinist:

• Executing the branch's machining tasks and in particular the more specialist types, always ensuring a high level of finished product is achieved, and to deadline, working from dimension based drawings and written descriptions
• Serving customers with timber products on the yard
• Ensuring all machines and components are kept in good order through regular maintenance and cleaning
• Picking orders of timber products
• Manually filling racks
• An Apprenticeship will be available once you are settled

Your Skills:

• Ability to identify and locate products quickly and accurately
• Ability to provide a courteous and professional approach to customers
• Ability to self-motivate, organise, and execute tasks
• Ability to work safely and cleanly
• Knowledge of Timber characteristics
