Business Engagement Support Officer

Job description The Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility Directorate at Queen's University Belfast is currently seeking to recruit a talented Business Engagement Support Officer to join their Business Engagement Team. The successful candidate will provide senior clerical and event management support for the busy function, overseeing and providing comprehensive and professional administrative and event management support to the Business Engagement Manager and wider team. The role will involve the day-to-day processing of all internal and external business engagement enquiries, the management of Chief Executives' Club events and membership administration and assisting in the development and maintenance of key institutional stakeholder relationships. This will be a varied role that will require an experienced administrator to deliver a consistently high level of service to both internal and external customers alike. The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
  • Academic and/or vocational qualifications i.e. NVQ Level 3, A levels, or equivalent OR significant relevant experience.
  • GCSE English Language and Mathematics (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
  • Four years' recent (within the last seven years) relevant demonstrable work experience to include:
    • Delivering a range of complex administrative and financial tasks for multiple tasks/projects and involving using initiative and making decisions
    • Experience of organising complex events involving multi- disciplinary teams and/or external stakeholders
    • Regular liaison with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve agreed strategic outcomes
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and windows applications, with demonstrable relevant experience of using databases/spreadsheets to analyse data and to present results accurately
  • Experience of committee servicing.
