    Salary: Grade 1, £22,453 – £22,612 per annum pro rata Approximate pro rata £7,182 – £7,233 per annum (0.31989 FTE)

    (Please note we have another similar part time Careers Administrator role and would be also open to one candidate filling both roles)

    We are seeking a dedicated Library Assistant to join our team and support the daily operations of our school library. The successful candidate will manage library administrative tasks, assist with pupil behaviour, provide clerical support, and ensure compliance with school policies.

    Avanti Fields School is an all-through, faith designated (Hindu) state school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018, and first intake of Nursery and Reception students in September 2022. The school is rapidly expanding and will grow year by year to a full cohort of 1,320. This is an exciting time to join the school as it continues its journey to outstanding.

    What will you do?

    • Perform library administrative duties, manage pupil behaviour, and arrange visits by teachers and guests.
    • Provide clerical support, maintain records, and undertake various ICT-based tasks.
    • Operate office equipment, manage supplies, and handle routine financial administration.
    • Comply with child protection, security, confidentiality, and data protection policies.
    • Support the school’s ethos, participate in training, and undertake additional clerical duties as needed

    What are we looking for?

    • Experience of general clerical /administrative work
    • Good level of literacy and numeracy skills, of Level 2 GCSE grade C/4 standard in English and Mathematics
    • Evidence of the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
    • Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy and pay attention to detail
