Opportunity information Salary £6.4 per month Duration 33 months Advert closing date 08/07/2024 Description Are you looking to start a career in the Automotive Industry? Apply for a Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship today! As a Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprentice, your role will include:

• To assist senior technicians and work independently, carrying out servicing and repairs as required.
• Demonstrate expertise in the technical elements of the role and have good grasp of the practical and theoretical aspects of the vehicle systems.
• Dealing with customers directly and having effective sales skills.
• Strong problem solving and self organisation skills.
• Working as part of a team but also operate independently.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

You will undertake tasks such as:

• Servicing
• Tyre and exhaust fittings
• Brake servicing
• Suspension repairs

Working hours are as follows:

• Monday – Thursday: 8.30am – 5.00pm
• Fridays: 8.30 – 4.30
• No weekends

Hourly rate of pay:

• You will be paid appropriately to your age, alongisde the apprenticeship scheme and experience

Entry requirements

• Maths GCSE or equivalent at Grace C/4 or above
• English GCSE or equivalent at Grace C/4 or above

Training to be provided

• As part of the apprenticeship programme, you will be enrolled onto Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship
• You will attend New College Durham one day per week
• 33 months apprenticeship programme including 3 months for End Point Assessment
