Our Newtown branch is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Job Description: A vacancy has arisen for a full-time Trade Counter Sales Assistant at our Newtown branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and safe shop environment, and handling stock efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who is motivated, energetic, and passionate about delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service at all times.

Serve customers politely and professionally.

Maintain a clean and tidy shop environment.

Store stock safely and ensure the shop is a secure environment.

Check incoming goods against supplier delivery notes.

Learn about and advise customers on suitable products.

Qualifications:

A flexible team player who can also work on their own initiative.

Excellent communication skills.

Approachable, positive, and polite manner.

Motivated, energetic, and passionate about your work.

Ability to learn quickly and advise customers on suitable products.

Previous sales experience in a Builders Merchant is preferable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Working Hours:

7.30 to 5.30 Monday to Thursday

7.30 to 5.00 Friday

Weekends: 1 weekend in 4

Saturday 07.30 – 16.00, Sunday 10.00 – 16.00 time off in week when weekend worked.

Salary: Competitive hourly rate paid. Paid weekly on a Thursday.
