Job Responsibility:
Opportunity information Salary £256 per week Duration 36 months Advert closing date 31/08/2024 Description You will be learning alongside experienced engineers to help grow and succeed in the security sector. They will be learning on the job and will be supported from the beginning. The successful apprentice will work across both Security and Fire and as a result will grow to become a multi-disciplined engineer. BA Security System's new apprentice will be paired with an existing Fire and Security engineer to become familiar with both sets of systems. You will learn the necessary Health and Safety procedures before installing, to ensure everything is secure. Youwill be servicing and installing alarm systems and learning to run cables whilst interacting with customers and delivering excellent customer service. Entry requirements
Desired skills/qualities:- Live within 20 -30 minutes of Luton.
- A drivers license would be highly advantageous.
- Grade 4/C+ in English and Maths would be ideal.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Mechanically minded and a keen interest in DIY.
- Hardworking, adaptable and trustworthy.
Training to be provided Initially, the apprentice will work alongside experienced engineers, learning and developing in the fields of both fire and security. The qualification you would be studying towards is the Fire Emergency Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release at their Warrington Centre. You will attend centre one week every eight weeks. You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies. Things to consider The apprenticeship is 36 months and therefore, full commitment is required.
