Finance Officer (Debtors) (Ref: 186646)

Part Time – 20 hours per week – working Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri

Fixed Term to 31st Aug

Band 3 Salary Range £25,468 – £27,486 pro rata per annum

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £2,256 pro rata per annum

Office Based Position

Shetland NHS Board’s Finance Department includes Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Procurement and Patient Travel. The Finance Department is responsible for delivering financial services to all Board areas and is based at Board HQ, Montfield.

This post is based in the accounts receivable section of the Finance Department and will be responsible for raising invoices requested by various departments, ensuring effective credit control is maintained and investigate queries from customers. The post will also support other functions in the Finance Department by providing cover for the Finance Assistant and Finance Officers (Creditors) and assist the Financial Accountant with various tasks.

You must be educated to SVQ Level 2 or equivalent. Previous finance experience with a good knowledge of the Sales Ledger is essential.

This contract is for a fixed-term post up to 31st August . The reason for the fixed-term contract is to provide cover for maternity leave. If you wish to apply for this post as a secondment opportunity, you will need to discuss with your line manager before submitting an application.
