Job Responsibility:

Black Country Housing Group is a social business investing in people and communities, and we are currently recruiting for an Accountancy Assistant that is qualified to at least Association of Accounting Technicians Level 2 and preferably with Social Housing experience to join our established finance team on a permanent basis. We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, hard-working individual. We are open to full time / part time working, and currently operate on a hybrid working basis, however you will be expected to work at our head office in Rowley Regis at least twice per week.

We have over 2,100 homes across the Black Country and Birmingham and one purpose built Residential Care Home. We operate our own internal repairs service and we support our local communities by offering services that help individuals with self-achievement and aspiration through our career development, training and employment services. We help thousands of customers every year making a real difference to their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist with accurate and timely monthly revenue and capital financial monitoring, management accounts, forecasts and financial information as required.
  • To complete and import journals on behalf of the team as required.
  • To assist in ensuring the integrity of the rents system; inputting rents, service charges and adjustments following appropriate approval and review by Seniors.
  • To assist in the verification and review of daily bank balances and required transfers.
