Job Title: Pharmacy Procurement Admin Clerk

Location: Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital, Margate, CT9 4AN

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm

Pay Banding: Band 2 - £11.45 per hour

Trust Location: East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust

What you'll be responsible for:

The post holder will support the day to day running of the Pharmacy Procurement Office, including procurement administration tasks which will including filing of paperwork, electronic filing, scanning of documents and other admin office duties as required, the Post holder will be expected to work as part of a team that covers a range of activities associated with stores, purchasing and office duties, the role specific duties include:

· To assist the Senior Pharmacy Procurement Clerks with the basic purchasing of pharmaceuticals according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

· To assist the Senior Pharmacy Invoicing Clerk with processing invoices for payment in line with lead time and legal requirements as per SOPs.

· To answer telephone calls, liaising with customers/suppliers and dealing with routine queries and forwarding to senior colleagues if appropriate.

· To be responsible for the pharmacy procurement office admin, including filing of all purchase order paperwork according to document holding policies, electronic filing on the shared drive, scanning and emailing of purchase orders and any other admin tasks as appropriate to role.

· To support in monitoring the pharmacy procurement generic email inboxes and dealing with basic queries, forwarding emails and filing as appropriate.

· To assist with the purchasing of medicines using pharmacy and EDI systems (Powergate) in a timely manner when required, following set ordering schedules and Standard Operating Procedures under the supervision of Senior Pharmacy Procurement Clerks.

· To assist the team in any other relevant duties in the interest of the service, appropriate for grade.
