Transport Manager - Drive Compliance, Planning & Operational Excellence Based in Riddings | £40,000-£45,000 | Full-time Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm

Your Role as Transport Manager
  • Lead daily transport operations at depot level
  • Oversee day-to-day fleet planning to maximise vehicle efficiency and route optimisation
  • Manage and develop a team of 30+ drivers with support from supervisors and planners
  • Optimise fleet utilisation and vehicle performance
  • Maintain legal compliance, H&S, and KPI standards
  • Own commercial performance including turnover, gross margin, and team retention
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and head office functions

  • CPC qualified with solid transport management experience
  • Strong leadership skills with the confidence to coach and develop others
  • A proactive, improvement-focused mindset
  • Commercially aware with a problem-solving approach
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
