Job Responsibility:

The Business Continuity Manager is responsible for ensuring that the organisation can continue to operate effectively during and after a disruption. This role involves assessing the functions, objectives, and requirements of the organization, identifying potential problems, and developing strategies to address them. The Business Continuity Manager will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the implementation of effective continuity and recovery plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Analysis:

- Assess the functions, objectives, and requirements of the organisation to understand its operational landscape.

- Identify problems related to business strategy, policy, organisation, procedures, methods, and markets.

Research and Data Collection:

- Determine the appropriate methods of data collection and research methodology.

- Analyse and interpret information gained from research to formulate recommendations and solutions.

Strategy Development:

- Develop and implement business continuity strategies and plans.

- Advise governments, commercial enterprises, organisations, and other clients based on research findings.

Implementation and Advisory:

- Work with various departments to implement recommended solutions and ensure alignment with organisational goals.

- Provide expert advice on business continuity and disaster recovery best practices.

Communication and Training:

- Run workshops and training sessions to educate staff on business continuity plans and procedures.

- Address seminars, conferences, and the media to present the results of research activities and express professional views on business continuity.

Monitoring and Improvement:

- Continuously monitor the effectiveness of business continuity plans and update them as necessary.

- Conduct regular risk assessments and business impact analyses to stay ahead of potential threats.

Qualifications:

Education:

- Master's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

- Proven experience in business continuity management, risk management, or a related field.

- Demonstrated ability to assess organisational needs and develop strategic solutions.

Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

- Proficiency in data collection and research methodologies.
