Job Responsibility:

We are a specialist supplier of Transport and Plant Hire services to a wide range of industries including construction, rail and aerospace. Our Transport division combines over 50 years of construction logistics and haulage expertise, and our Plant division boasts one of the largest, most diverse and modern ranges of plant equipment, small tools, formwork and falsework systems.

We are currently seeking a Planning Support Coordinator to join our team based out of Worksop. The key elements of the role are to be the front-facing representative for the Transport division of the business between Explore Transport, the customers and suppliers. Ensuring you take ownership of all queries or issues that are presented to you and manage them through to closure, with a ‘can do attitude' and to exceed customer expectations.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage emails received into the Info Inbox, and reply back within agreed timeframes.
  • Raise all job requests on to the Explore TMS.
  • Provide/advise customers with quotations and transport availability.
  • Raise any escalations from customers to the relevant person/s.
  • Manage and process the TWS orderwell.
  • Request abnormal load permits.
  • Maintain housekeeping of the Explore TMS.
  • Any other reasonable request.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to 5 GCSE grade “C” or above (Preferred)

Experience

  • At least 1 years' experience in a Transport or a Customer Service environment.
  • Able to use Microsoft Windows package (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Previous experience of GTS/ESP and Syrinx is an advantage.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills - converse effectively at varying levels.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Organised, able to multitask and prioritise
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Team player but be able to work alone under own initiative.
