Job Description Consultant Relations - Associate (London) We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate level Sales Support professional to join the Global Consultant Relations Team, within the Global Client Group at Brookfield Asset management. Brookfield is a leading provider of Private Market Investments with $900bn in AUM across five lines of business; Real Estate, Infrastructure, Renewables, Private Equity and Private Credit. The primary role of the Associate is to support the sales activities of the consultant relations team in Europe and to work closely with the team in the United States and Canada on our global strategy. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a client-centric approach. Brookfield Global Client Group Brookfield offers institutional investors a range of private fund investment opportunities across the risk-return spectrum. We foster alignment of interests with our investors by investing alongside them: over 30% of the capital under management across our private funds is our own, and we are typically the largest investor. Our goal is simple: to generate growth and attractive long-term risk-adjusted returns for our investors to serve their stakeholders, all while providing the highest level of service. Brookfield's Global Client Group is comprised of a global team of more than 150 professionals located in North America, Europe, and Asia. The primary focus of the group is to raise capital for Brookfield's private funds from institutional investors worldwide. Key Accountabilities
  • Support all aspects of consultant coverage including but not limited to; fund marketing, supporting the due diligence process, answering fund related queries and onboarding investors
  • Coordinate and attend update meetings with investment consultants; prepare pre-meeting reports and appropriate materials, take detailed meeting notes and coordinate any follow-ups
  • Where appropriate, directly reach out to new consultant prospects to begin building a relationship
  • Help co-ordinate our consultant relations strategy globally
  • Maintain Brookfield's internal CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring that the system is up to date for internal reporting purposes
  • Assist with ad-hoc Business Development activities such as helping host meetings and events
  • Perform detailed market research and analysis, leveraging internal and external market data
  • Monitor industry press for information relating to our respective prospects and competitors
  • In conjunction with Marketing, Events and Fundraise Management teams, help coordinate road shows and conferences
Candidate Profile
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Post graduate studies in finance such as CFA, CAIA or an MBA, is advantageous but not a prerequisite
  • Relevant experience (2-4 years) working in the financial services/asset management industry
  • A keen interest in alternative investments and a desire to work directly with clients
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), experience of Salesforce a plus
  • Team player with positive attitude and pro-active approach to work
  • Able to develop a strong internal/external relationships
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to get involved in challenging projects
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem-solving ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including preparation and delivery of presentations
  • Self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail
