ROLE AVAILABLE FOR 3 WEEKS IN THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS ONLY.

Job OverviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Leader to oversee and manage our holiday camp programme in the Easter, May and Summer seasons. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with children and have the ability to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment.

Duties

  • Drive the daily operations of the camp, ensuring smooth execution of activities and schedules.
  • Manage a team of activity instructors, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teamwork.
  • Ensure the planned activities are delivered in-line with the camp timetable.
  • Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff to foster a positive camp community.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by maintaining a secure environment.
  • Provide leadership in resolving conflicts among campers and addressing any behavioural issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and camper progress throughout the programme.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the overall camp experience.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire children and staff alike.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A background in managing groups of children in a school or similar setting is an advantage.
  • Ability to drive initiatives that encourage participation and engagement among campers.
  • A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their development and well-being.
  • First Aid certification is preferred but not essential; training may be provided.
