QA SMAD Markets Business Control OfficerLondon As a Barclays Markets Business Control Officer, you will be assisting the Quantitative Analytics (QA) and Statistical Modelling & Development (SMAD) business areas to provide CCO support. You will be partnering with Business leads and CCO teams, embedded within Markets businesses to assist accountable front office teams with activities aligned to governance and control expectations driven by the Barclays Control Framework, including risk management, support, control, execution and remediation.

What will you be doing?

• Providing reports on the business areas control environment and facilitate control forums as needed
• Helping businesses in identifying and managing risks, including through changes, and identifying and managing escalations
• Supporting the business in delivering core Markets control processes for the business area (e.g. RCSA and Conflicts of Interest review)
• Developing into the control SME role and act as business representative with lines of defence for the areas control environment
• Supporting the business in delivering control implementation and remediation including solution development and embedment as required
• Operating as a steward of the Barclays Control Framework supporting the Markets Business to achieve its goals, within the risk parameters and compliance with regulations

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in managing stakeholders at a senior level, helping and challenging them in order to influence actions to mitigate risks and improve the control environment
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in a fast paced, dynamic environment and deliver solutions
• Good knowledge of risks and controls applicable to managing model risk in a Global Corporate and Investment Bank environment
• University degree or equivalent educational qualification

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Previous experience in working in a control function
• Knowledge and experience in model risk management
