About the role…

An exciting opportunity to join us as a part time Planning Support Officer where the main aim is to work in partnership with customers, consultees and council members to ensure applications are in a condition to enable full and proper consideration.

You will need to be organised and have good attention to detail as the role will require registering planning applications in a timely manner (to include checking plans and technical documents). This will also include dealing with fees, payments & receipts for the provision of services via telephone and email.

The role will also require someone to assist other officers in the delivery of the service. You will need to be a good communicator and team player in order deliver this.

You will need…

  • Qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 1 or GCSE in Maths and English
  • Knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting Planning
  • Experience of dealing with professionals and the general public within a customer oriented service
  • Good level of IT skills

  • May be required to work at other offices as and when required.
