We are currently looking for exceptional people to join our team and have a fantastic opportunity for a Seasonal Day Porter working a 6 day rotation with 3 days off, between now and the end of October.
As a Luggage Porter you are the face of the hotel and are here to welcome and give a positive arrival and departure experience. When guests arrive at our hotels, we want that impression to be memorable. The same goes for departures. When guests leave, we want them to go with a smile and a feeling that we were there for them throughout their stay. We want to build an experience that is memorable and unique from start to finish.
Key Requirements of the role:
As a vital team member, you play a proactive role in welcoming guests and using the guest's name whenever possible. Collaboration with other departments is key to making the guests' stay as comfortable as possible.
Your key duties involve
- Will open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property.
- assisting with luggage on arrival and departure, storing bags when required, providing door coverage
- Has the ability to lift and carry bags and luggage- full manual handling training provided.
- Having an excellent knowledge of the local area including attractions, transportation systems, theatre, tourist sites, sporting activities, shops, restaurants. Assisting guests with making bookings or directions.
- Will inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation.
- Will identify and explain room features to guests upon arrival to all guest rooms (e.g., use of room key, in-room safe, valet laundry services)
- Will transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated storage area.
- Will assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles
- Follow and maintain Health and Safety standards and procedures
