We are tasked with building future revenue streams around our core telco capabilities in areas like IoT connectivity and solutions, Mobile Private Networks, and Network-as-a-Service products. The proposition manager owns the definition of how our products, solutions and services address specific customer needs in a credible and distinctive way. You will explore areas for differentiation, create viable business cases, and gather customer insight and market activity to spot opportunities that will determine key requirements for Division X products and solutions that achieve the desired customer outcomes. You will be implementing specific strategies to increase the value of our customer propositions, furthering relationships with assigned segmentations of customers, expanding market share, and generating sustainable growth. What you'll be doing
  • Operates as an SME in leading the development and implementation of consumer value propositions across specific consumer and business segments.
  • Contributes to the development of the strategy and roadmap for BT Group's core value proposition, products, and services.
  • Identifies and articulates market opportunities for revenue growth that in parallel solves consumer pain points.
  • Leads sales enablement for a defined product or solutions and collaborates with marketing teams on the development of marketing materials, services work packages and product refinement.
  • Builds deep and expansive understanding of consumer market trends and insights informing BT Group's commercial vision.
  • Leads end-to-end proposition design strategies and development across commercial priorities and experiences.
  • Enables the competitive differentiation and unique value proposition of BT Group effectively shaping a strong and impactful products and services narrative.
  • Leads complex research and market intelligence activities across a range of information channels ensuring BT Group's leading market position is upheld.
  • Leads go-to market strategies, including that of marketing and collateral, enabling sales and consumer leaders to win competitive bid opportunities.
  • Mentors and coaches experienced professionals to develop current and future team capabilities and ensure performance.
  • Leads the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities to improve proposition management processes.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven track record in proposition development in the technology or telecom industry, ideally B2B.
  • Ability to think strategically and to innovatively shape and communicate new concepts as defined by the Technical Business Development and Solutions Development teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of acquisition, retention and cross-sell concepts and strategies across all channels.
  • Strong skills in developing business cases and strategic roadmaps for products and services.
  • Proficiency in conducting detailed market research to identify consumer trends, pain points, and opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of company and business objectives and how the role contributes to delivering these goals.
  • Proven results in co-ordinating cross-functional teams. Ideally within an Agile framework.
