The Hive is a new provision that was opened by Hill Park School on a newly refurbished site in Lynchets Close, Hollingdean in September 2023.
The Hive is for autistic students between Y7 and Y11 who have high anxiety that prevents them accessing mainstream secondary schools or facilities co-located at mainstream secondary schools.
Many will have been home educated or accessing tutoring packages due to the barriers they face attending school. They will be able to access an age related curriculum and achieve GCSE's and other Secondary accreditations.
We are looking to recruit a B Grade Teaching Assistant to support a KS4 tutor group, and in general non-core subjects across the year groups and behaviour/pastoral support.

- are an excellent team player who is flexible and shows an ability to recognise and respond to pupils' needs
- can provide support to individuals and small groups
- have Maths and English Qualifications at GCSE or equivalent
- be able to manage a challenging environment, both physically and mentally
- The role may include supporting personal care and full training will be provided. The need to be able to adapt your skills and to be flexible and resilient is crucial.
