Job Responsibility:

PD Ports, one of the UK's major port groups, is looking for a full-time Yard Operative - Nights to join our inclusive team in Felixstowe. The role comes with a generous salary and benefits package.

Reporting to the Transport Operations Manager, the overall purpose of the role is to offload containers coming in from the dock via our shunter drivers.

The four main things our Yard Operative will be working on are:

•

Drive the top lift and tug on the night shift and unload shunters coming from the port

•

Manage container stacks in the yard in terms of clients and weather

•

Move trailers across the site in line with warehouse requirements

•

Set up the bays with laden containers ready for the day shift the following day.

We are seeking someone who:

•

Has GCSE's grade C or above

•

Is able to follow instructions and tasks given daily

•

Is able to adhere to our health and safety policy
