Job Title: Adoption Panel Chair and Panel Members

Looking to fill the following positions:

– EXPERIENCED INDEPENDENT PANEL CHAIR

– INDEPENDENT PANEL VICE CHAIR

– INDEPENDENT PANEL MEMBERS from a range of disciplines but in particular from a medical/ health background, education or registered Social Workers.

– PEDIATRICIAN

– SOCIAL WORKER

– AGENCY ADVISOR

– INDEPENDENT

Contract: Voluntary

Hours: As and when required

Location: A4U Offices (Solihull)

About the Role: We are seeking to recruit experienced Adoption Panel Chair and Panel Members to assess prospective adoptive parents for their suitability as adoptive parents. Applicants must be self-motivated, able to work within deadlines and be flexible in meeting the needs of the prospective adoptive parents and the agency. Substantial experience within adoption work is essential. Training can be provided at a cost.

Requirement: In addition to experience, applicants should have the following:

– Experience as part of an adoption panel previously.

– An oversight of recruitment and assessment of prospective adopters.

– Work together with other members of the Panel to make recommendations on the suitability of applicants.

– Have relevant knowledge of the diverse needs of children who are looked after and adopted.

– Post holders should be passionate about making a difference to the lived experience of children.
