Job Summary:
The Quality Control Operative plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards of our products by conducting thorough inspections and tests throughout the production process. This position requires a meticulous approach to monitoring product quality, documenting findings, and working collaboratively to resolve any issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
· Viscosity and Setting Time Testing: Systematically test the viscosity and setting times for each mix to ensure each batch complies with product specifications and consistency standards.
· Visual Inspections: Perform detailed visual inspections of products at various stages of production to identify any defects or deviations from quality standards.
· Measurements and Tests: Use appropriate tools and equipment to conduct measurements and various other tests on products to assess their quality and adherence to specifications.
· Documentation and Record Keeping: Accurately document all inspection results and maintain detailed records of all quality control activities. Ensure that data entry is precise to maintain the integrity of quality assurance data.
· Issue Communication and Resolution: Promptly communicate quality issues or concerns to the Formulations Lead. Collaborate with the production teams to investigate these issues and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
· Equipment Calibration: Ensure all measuring equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained to guarantee accurate readings during tests.
· Compliance and Standards Adherence: Uphold and enforce company and regulatory quality standards throughout the production process to ensure product safety and customer satisfaction.

Working Hours:
Night shifts – Monday to Friday, 22:00 hrs – 06:30 hrs, 40 hours per week
Physical Requirements:
Lifting and Material Handling: Capable of lifting and moving heavy materials and products in line with Manual Handling Regulations.
Flexibility and Reach: Ability to move freely around the production floor to access products and equipment. Capacity to stand for extended periods during shifts.
Dexterity to handle tools and instruments for precise measurements.
Work Environment:
The role is performed in a production setting, requiring the operative to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
Requires flexibility to work different shifts as production schedules demand.

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
