Job Title: Agency Care Worker (Domiciliary)

Hourly Rate:£14 per hour + mileage

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Responsible to: Line manager

Purpose of the Job:

To provide person-centered care to individuals in their own homes you must be prepared to travel between care calls.

You will engage with service users to build trusting relationships. Your role will include visiting service users, and completing tasks and care needs identified within the care plan.

To work closely with other health and social care professionals and agencies to provide a coordinated service which meets the identified needs of the individuals.

Responsibilities as a Domiciliary Support Worker:

• Perform household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry and tidying.
• Make, or assist in making your client’s favourite meals.
• Offer companionship and social support, engaging with your client’s hobbies and getting to know them.
• Support with personal care tasks such as showering, washing hair, and getting changed.
• Taking clients out to places of their choice e.g. the local shops or a café.
• Ensure transparent communication with clients and loved ones, offering first-rate care and comfort.
• Write accurate daily notes, keeping up strong communication with the office.
• Administer medication and record appropriately.

Requirements:

• We offer comprehensive in-house training. However, any previous care experience either professional or personal is an advantage.
• You must have a full driver’s licence and dependable transportation for various duties.
• You must be reliable and punctual to ensure we can continue to provide excellent service to our clients.
• Must have a caring, friendly personality
