Job Description :

Senior Administration Co-ordinator will provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative support service to the Service Manager, Lead GP/Nurse and other health care professionals within the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) and Emergency Department (ED) to ensure service objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively. A key function of this role will include the co-ordination of all staff rotas to ensure the service is resourced to the required levels each day. You will manage a team of administrative staff, maximising the skills and resources within this staff group including training and development to meet the changing needs/demands on the service, including deputising for the Service Manager as required.

  • To provide efficient and effective support to the team including secretarial/PA and administrative services; diary management, meeting management
  • Ensure the smooth running of the office/reception through maintaining office systems including the development and maintenance of paper and electronic filing systems to ensure safe transfer and storage of information
  • Management of the admin staff in the UTC/ED , ensuring a well-trained and highly motivated workforce
  • Support the maintenance of consistently high levels of quality, safety and performance across the organisation to deliver clinical excellence and high patient satisfaction
  • To respond to telephone enquiries often of a confidential nature for the services, from all staff groups, patient’s, relatives and careers providing information, prioritising queries as appropriate in a prompt and pro-active manner.
