About the International Gas Union (IGU):

The IGU represents the global Gas industry, with more than 140 members in over 70 countries, covering over 90% of the global Gas market. The working organisation of IGU covers the complete Gas value chain, from the supply of natural and decarbonised gas, renewable gas and hydrogen, through their transmission and distribution, and all the way to the point of use.

The IGU advocates for the political, technical and economic progress of the global Gas industry, directly and through its members, and in collaboration with other international organisations. It seeks to collaborate with governmental agencies and international organisations to demonstrate the economic, social and environmental benefits of Gas in the global energy mix and energy transition.

About the Role:

The Communication Coordinator will support the communication work of the IGU Secretariat in a range of digital and content production tasks. The role will provide digital support to the Secretariat, ensuring efficient operation and aiding in the achievement of the Secretariat's goals. The role will support the Director of Communication.

The role is only available for London based candidates with valid work permit for the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop content for the different social media platforms where the IGU is present and publish it once approved internally.

· Support the running of online webinars and presentations using IGU licensed software services.

· Prepare and/or request information for online events, as well as social media content related to the events for dissemination, as required.

· Coordinate internal requests and maintain working relations with graphic designers providing services to the IGU. Ensure that all design projects are performed within IGU's Branding Guidelines and within estimate budgets and timelines.

· Manage and renew IGU's licenses for software, stock images and video, and other tools needed for the desired operational standards of the IGU.

· Provide support for project management and the Secretariat's initiatives, as well as support the IGU Directors within the candidate's competence remit.

· Ability to edit video and create video clips for usage in IGU's Social Media platforms, promotional materials, websites and other related purposes.

· Develop, maintain and create regular newsletters and other electronic communications for the IGU.

· Update, upload and maintain website content in IGU's websites.

· Logistical support: liaising with venues / printers / other service providers for launches and IGU events.

· Collating Requests for Proposals for various activities and in dedicated SharePoint folders.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Minimum of 1-2 years of digital, social media, and communication experience

· Ability to work independently with Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as with video editing tools

· Excellent organisational skills

· Self-starter team player

· Relevant undergraduate degree preferred

* Superb command of the English language - particularly written - is an imperative, and so is the candidate's ability to proofread and understand various multicultural nuances, protocol aspects and follow instructions from Senior Directors

Travel:

International travel may be required, so all applicants must hold a valid Passport with a minimum validity date of one year.
